Historically, the archipelago was inhabited by fishermen and farmers from the 1400s until World War II. As Swedes born during or after the war chose to build their lives in the larger cities, agriculture and fishing almost disappeared from the archipelago.

The beauty of the Stockholm archipelago has been a muse for many poets and artists, including August Strindberg, Ture Nerman, Roland Svensson, Ernst Didring, and Aleister Crowley. ABBA fans will be pleased to know that Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson wrote most of their hits from a cabin in the archipelago.

Omar Rudberg est un artiste et acteur suédois qui, malgré son jeune âge, a déjà une carrière impressionnante. À 14 ans, il rejoint le boys band FO&O, remportant trois MTV EMA et partageant la scène avec Justin Bieber et One Direction. En 2018, il débute en solo et sort son premier album « OMR » en 2020, totalisant plus de 20 millions d’écoutes.

En 2023, il brille dans l’émission « Så Mycket Bättre » avec des reprises acclamées, et poursuit sa carrière d’acteur avec un rôle principal dans la série Netflix « Young Royals », succès international. Cette même année, il est élu « l’homme le mieux habillé de Suède » par ELLE et Café et fait ses débuts dans « Summer in P1 ».
